Devon Street Food festival, Ilfracombe

A three-day food extravaganza with a host of unique, talented and friendly street food vendors, serving food and drink from all corners of the globe.
Welcoming locals and visitors, festival lovers and curious foodies. A weekend of outstanding and extremely fresh food, good vibes and refreshing beverages awaits!
The BIG Summer Bash, Braunton
3 Aug, 12-8pm, £ Free
A completely free event, open to everyone. Showing off everything Braunton village has to offer, from produce and craft-work to amazing talent and performances.
Live music all day long, the best locally sourced food and drink, market stalls, rides & games for the kids, something for everyone. Pubs and grub, including a world-famous fish restaurant.
South West Birdman, Ilfracombe
3 Aug, 11am-10pm, £ Free
A bunch of would-be aviators throw themselves off Ilfracombe pier in custom-built (homemade) flying devices and costumes. The water is freezing cold, but the atmosphere is fantastic – loads of fun-filled activities fill the day.
The ‘birdmen’ will be looking to fly the furthest to be crowned champion.
Alongside the event is a live music stage with music throughout the day & night, food stalls, ale & cider festival, artisan market, charity stalls and loads of children’s entertainment. There’s also a bar and barbecue, rescue display and a fireworks finale!

North Devon Show, Umberleigh
7 Aug, 8am-6pm, £15 Adults, £3 Children, £34 Family
An amazing annual event showcasing the agricultural roots of North Devon. Livestock classes fill the arenas throughout the day, featuring horses, cattle, alpacas, sheep and more.
Show-jumping and an open dog show also take centre stage. Attractions, demonstrations and trade stands fill 50 acres of level fields, allowing access for all.
Circus performers, countryside skills, laser clay pigeon shooting, ferret racing, sheep shearing, animal petting, baking competitions, vintage tractors & cars, fun fair, carriage driving, young farmers games, falconry, axe-men and much more!
There’s also a beer tent, food hall, craft marquee and a live music stage with fantastic music. A great day out for the whole family. Not to be missed!

Brew Monkey, Braunton

Ticket only ale & cider festival in Braunton, hog roast and street food, live music every day, games & rides and a gin bar!

Ilfracombe’s annual carnival procession. Floats and displays, fancy costumes and maybe the odd clown – showing off local businesses and talent.

Mini Madness, Ilfracombe

Hundreds of Mini’s, in every colour and style imaginable, create an amazing spectacle as they end their annual Grand Tour by whizzing through North Devon to end their journey in the streets of Ilfracombe.
Expect stalls and attractions, games for the kids and food vendors.
On The Road Music Festival 2019, Braunton
30 Aug-1 Sep, £20-£50
For the 3rd year running, Broadland’s farm brings you a family friendly festival with fantastic live music. Day and weekend tickets are available with a range of ticket prices
Workshops, kids rock tent, local market stalls and fresh foods – all alongside non-stop live music throughout the weekend.
A mixture of different genres, with a main stage and dance tent. Saturday headliners are surf-rock indie band Reef.
Sea Ilfracombe, Maritime Festival, Ilfracombe
31 Aug-1 Sep, £ Free
As with the other festivals and attractions across the Summer, expect local food and beverage vendors, local produce, craft and artwork, and much more with a nautical theme!
Sandcastle competitions, treasure hunts and a proper Punch & Judy show kick off events.
Storytelling mermaids and sword-wielding pirates will be running the streets while vendors sell a huge selection of locally produced foods.
Ilfracombe harbour is the perfect place to learn something new. Maybe you can learn to sail, or row in a gig, try kayaking or learn to paddle board? You can even take party in a demonstration with the RNLI.
Fancy a spot of fishing? All the equipment, bait & tackle is provided free of charge. In fact, the whole Sea Ilfracombe festival is free to everybody.
