Coming to Devon as a family? Maybe you’re looking for a romantic retreat? Are you bringing the grandparents to look after the kids, so you can enjoy the odd evening out on your own again? We’re waiting for you all.
Eclectic boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars, surf shops, coffee shops and your general stores sit over a few streets. Woolacombe has all you need for the happiest of holidays.
Woolacombe nestles between the rugged beauty of Exmoor and the powerful Atlantic Ocean and sits on a coastline with side-by-side beautiful beaches. Our Northern part of Devon is a paradise waiting to be discovered.
Putsborough, Barricane and Coombesgate beaches are sitting on our doorstep. Shell beach (Barricane) has become famous, at least locally, for the small café serving amazing homemade Sri Lankan curries. Take your favourite bottle and discover how good it feels to watch the sun go down with your loved ones.
Wander up to beautiful Mortehoe or head across the sands to the unspoiled headland that is Baggy Point. The village and beach of Croyde are only a few steps further, and worth a whole day of exploration, at the very least.
In the other direction you’ll find Lee Bay, Ilfracombe Harbour and many boats out to Lundy Island. Pods of porpoises have been spotted by the observant traveller and the odd SUP paddler, with the occasional surfing dolphin glimpsed too.
Lynton and Lynmouth, with their famous funicular railway are a few miles further and Exmoor just few miles more; full of country pubs, iron age forts and scenery which is nothing but spectacular and second to none.
Slide down the M5, hang a right at Junction 27 and ease your way over to Woolacombe. Try not to get stuck at Trago if you’re heading up from the Southern Devon territories.
What kind of holiday are you looking to book? Beach bum, full on fun? Sit and relax or energised to the max? We built our Devon Holiday Parks to let you do whatever you like, whenever you like.
We’re family owned so we’ve made every Park a safe place to laugh and play, it’s one of our top priorities. We don’t mind what you do, and we’re here to show you every possibility…
Woolacombe beach is supervised with RNLI Lifeguard services from Easter to October.
