Woolacombe’s Beer Gardens

Your guide to Woolacombe’s Beer Gardens. Did you know April 2020 was the hottest April on record? Perfect weather for beer gardens hey! And April 2021 has been pretty good, the sun is finally shining, and Spring is here. You may say it’s perfect timing that all pubs can finally open their beer garden doors.

This Woolacombe Beer Gardens Guide is here to help you choose your perfect alfresco experience right next to England’s Best Beach in Woolacombe.

Brundle’s Bar and Restaurant

Al fresco dining at its finest, this large spacious sun terrace creates the perfect location to enjoy the most spectacular view overlooking Woolacombe’s golden sands beach with the ocean view stretching as far as the eye can see. Serving the most delicious al la carte menu and bespoke cocktails. The perfect location, to slow down, take a breath and enjoy an evening of cocktails whilst the sun sets on another Woolacombe day.

Bar Electric

If you are looking for a pumping atmosphere this location is perfect for you. A variety of seating with an idyllic location looking out over Woolacombe. Bar Electric offers the perfect atmosphere with divine pub grub followed by a wide choice of beverages. We think this is the perfect spot for a cheeky cocktail or two.

The Jube

Nestled in the very heart of Woolacombe you’ll find this hidden gem. One of the smaller beer gardens but with a big friendly atmosphere, this is a perfect location for the most delicious pub dining, with generous portions, you’ll eat here once and be back for more. Our favourite is the sticky chilli chicken.

The Fortescue Arms

The Fortescue Arms offers a large open beer garden, with plenty of room for the kids to run around. After a long day at the beach, this is a top spot to enjoy some proper pub meals in a tranquil setting.

The Tides Inn

Panoramic sea view with the comfiest beer garden of all. Large cushioned comfy sofas are spread across this large terrace, with many overlooking the sea. The perfect spot to sit back, relax and take in the incredible surroundings. Specialising in the most mouth-watering bistro-style food or even just a light bite to see you through. We love warm bread and olives.

The Red Barn

This iconic pub in Woolacombe is the perfect location after a day in the sea. With a large sweeping patio with plenty of benches, The Red Barn offers classic pub grub with a delicious selection of daily specials and a relaxing atmosphere.

The Old Mill

Some may say we have left the most family-friendly pub until last, and it’s Woolacombe’s very own 17th Century traditional pub, located right next to Golden Coast Holiday Park. Suitable for the whole gang including your 4-legged friends. This sun trap beer garden is the perfect location for the kids to burn off some steam in the action-packed play area, whilst you sit back and enjoy a pint of the cold stuff in this spacious beer garden where outdoor seating is plenty. Whatever the weather they have got you covered, so feel warm and cosy on a chilly evening with patio heaters and sheltered seating.

Bonfire Night Safety

Bonfire Night Safety

Remember, remember, that safety is your priority this November. As we look to host home displays, safety is paramount – bonfire night safety means a little more this year, of course.

Many organised displays have been cancelled this year because we are unable to gather in groups. We will be hosting our annual fireworks displays across our Parks, so please do check the skies if you’re in Woolacombe on Saturday 31st October (Halloween, of course!).
