We may be biased but our breathtaking North Devon coastline is nothing but spectacular, and here in Woolacombe the golden beaches are at their very best. Rolling surf, magnificent cliffs and proud headlands all alongside the softest sand and the scent of salty sea spray.
Mother’s Day or Mothering Sunday is a day for families, where we show the special women in our lives just how much they mean to us – mums, grandmothers, nannies, stepmothers and, of course, mothers-in-law. The fourth Sunday of Lent is Mother’s Day, March 31st in 2019, always three weeks before Easter Sunday.
As the days get brighter and nights get shorter, the opportunity to kick off your shoes and enjoy the great outdoors becomes higher. Wild swimming is a great way to get the adrenaline pumping and to get some exercise. Not to mention to explore new places. And best of all? It needn’t cost a penny!
Devon is, without a doubt, one of the most romantic parts of the UK. With dramatic cliffs to walk across, shaded, leafy valleys to stroll through and some of the best view points from across the land to sit and look at whilst snuggled into your significant half. So leave the kids with their grandparents and go explore these top romantic spots in our green and pleasant county.
